My name is Barry Fitzgerald and I am an electrical engineer by training who also holds a Masters degree in renewable energy technologies and sustainable building design. I worked for over ten years in blue chip multinational organisations, but since 2006 I have been working independently as a sustainability consultant.

I have long been a passionate advocate for the promotion of more sustainable and better work- life balances for people. I am a firm believer in the power of the individual and the local community. It is my strong and firm belief that society’s problems can get tackled effectively when approached from an empowered individual stance and in healthy co-operation with our local community.

Despite the current (media and government driven) public discourse promoting fear, disempowerment and separation, I am convinced the world is actually on the brink of a massive explosion in the exact opposite direction, i.e. to a world of peace, harmony, unity, prosperity and freedom. For that to happen, the old world of control, manipulation and power has to fall. We are witnessing this fall daily, but especially since the financial crash of late 2008. Finally we can say that in the very near future we may birth a world that we would wish our children to inhabit. A world where each individual wakes up to their divine and sovereign power and where the unfolding of daily life serves the peoples needs, rather than those of dysfunctional systems and organisations.
